Joining NJROTC

Information letters are being mailed in July to all incoming freshmen who have asked for NJROTC on their schedule.  The letter contains several forms that are required for NJROTC cadets.  Please contact Commander Stubblefield at 714-626-4554 if you have any questions.

  • SPORTS PHYSICALS - All NJROTC cadets are required to have a current sports physical (taken in the summer 2009).  Sports physical packets are available at the Troy ASB office.  If your son or daughter is going to be playing a sport for Troy, they only need to take one sports physical.  Please bring one copy of the yellow ASB physical card from the sports physical packet signed and stamped by the ASB office to NJROTC by Sept 15.
  • FRESHMEN REGISTRATION - Troy NJROTC will be present during the Troy freshmen registration during the week of August 24.  Please feel free to stop by and ask any questions or just to see our classroom in room 402.
  • FRESHMEN NJROTC ORIENTATION - SATURDAY, AUG 29.  From 8 am to 1 pm (0800 to 1300), we will hold our half-day orientation at the Troy campus.  More information will be provided in the information letters being mailed home.  Both parents and students are welcome to come and see what NJROTC is all about.  We will show you a little of each of the parts to NJROTC:  academics, physical fitness, marching and after school activities.  Students should wear PE shorts and tennis shoes.  A pizza lunch is available for $5/person.  Please meet by the Troy Auditorium between 7:30 and 8 am.

Troy NJROTC offers a unique blend of special education, general education and magnet students. Membership in NJROTC is open to all Troy HS students.

Students can join NJROTC at the beginning of any semester. NJROTC takes the place of PE for freshmen and sophomores, and counts as a social science elective for those students who have already satisfied their PE credit. Students and parents should contact the counseling office to change their schedule.

Students who are from outside of the FJUHSD and are transferring into Troy High School MUST FIRST BE ACCEPTED INTO TROY HS before they can join NJROTC. Interested students and parents should contact the Troy Technology office (714-626-4425).

The Troy NJROTC classroom is room 402. Our classroom telephone number is 714-626-4554. The Troy HS fax number is 714-626-4492.
